Cuba denounces censorship and repression against university students in the United States

Havana, Apr 17th. - Cuba denounced today the double standards of the U.S. government, which while proclaiming itself a promoter of fundamental freedoms, censorship and represses those who denounce the genocide committed by Israel in Palestine, including young university students.

In his X account, Foreign Affairs Minister Bruno Rodriguez questioned that the U.S. Government presents itself with cynicism as a great promoter of fundamental freedoms, while censuring those who denounce Israeli genocide and intends to impose acceptance of its genocidal policy on young people from the world who seek to study in high prestige universities of America.

To his comment on that social network, the head of Cuban diplomacy added a video that shows the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, along with President Donald Trump, explaining the basis of that administration's policy towards the university students they dissent.

Rubio defends the executive order of the White House tenant who stigmatizes all students opposed to Washington's support for Israel in the ongoing escalation of bombings and crimes in the Palestinian territories occupied for decades.

In the laughter of his auditorium, the anti-Cuban politician says without a hurdle that we will get rid of these people and continue to do so. No one is entitled to a student visa. The press covers this as if there was a birth visa fee...

According to reports from universities and media in the northern country, nearly 300 international students were deprived of their permission to stay in the United States suddenly in recent days, raising fear among students and confusion in schools working to help students who face arrest and possible deportation.
