Havana, Apr 21st. - The magnificent event Cuba Salud 2025 begins today in this capital with the attendance of about three thousand participants from 50 countries until the 25th.
Based in the Convention Palace of this capital and in the Pabexpo Fairground, the world event will be the scene of more than 400 scientific activities and more than 200 master conferences, panels, symposia and meetings.
At a press conference, the national director of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Ministry of Public Health, Ileana Morales, reported that the XVI Trade Fair "Health for All" and the II International Fair of Medical Tourism and Welfare will also meet.
In addition, the first symposium on Cuba-China Science and Innovation will take place in which they will address topics related to biotechnology and will feature interventions by several rectors of medical universities in the Asian country, Morales said.
As part of the programmed activities, the first Una Sola Salud National Congress will meet, which will address the comprehensive health strategy of the Caribbean nation and which integrates the knowledge and active participation of all branches of society, from agriculture, education, water and energy.
Cuba Health 2025, also hosts the XVI Health for All Fair from 21 to 24 April, which will have as its central theme: Universal health coverage and health equity, which is promoted by the MEDICuba Company.
This will be the most important trade fair in the sector in which we will receive about 11 companies from China, a country invited by honor to which we dedicate this space, said the president of the entity, Armando Garrido, also at a press conference.
She said they plan to sign more than 15 agreements, prioritizing as a line of work the elements of Innovation, Science and Technology, pillars of all the activities of the health branch.
On the other hand, Cuba Salud opens the doors to the II International Fair of Medical Tourism and Welfare that will take place from 21 to 24 April in Pabexpo, dedicated to enhancing wellness tourism, where the products, experiences and advances of health tourism will be exhibited in the largest of the Antilles, as a result of collaboration between the tourism and health sectors.
Another milestone of the meeting in 2025 is the participation for the first time of a Cambodian delegation headed by the director of the Department of Disaster Disease Control of the Ministry of Health, Ly Sovann, who is accompanied by the deputy director of the Department of International Relations, Huy Meng Hut.
During its stay on the island, the delegation of the Kingdom will also develop a program of official talks with its Cuban peers on issues of mutual interest that, from the field of health, will allow to expand and strengthen bilateral cooperation, the Cuban ambassador here, Milena Zaldívar, told Prensa Latina.
The diplomat pointed out that the assistance to Cuba Salud 2025 of a Cambodian mission is doubly significant, since in addition to being an unprecedented fact, it is the first official delegation to travel to Havana after the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations on 15 April.
