Havana, Jun 14th.- Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic attends today the National Anniversary Assembly 64 of the José Martí Pioneers Organization (OPJM).
Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the PCC, Meyvis Estévez Echevarría, first secretary of the National Committee of the Union of Young Communists and Chabeli Arencibia Martell, national president of the OPJM, attend.
They accompany the pioneers Eduardo Martínez Díaz, deputy prime minister of the Republic and José Ramón Machado Ventura, Commander of the Rebel Army.
During this last assembly day, the 330 delegates share opinions with the highest leadership of the country on the functioning of the organization and as the pioneers assume the commitment to defend the Revolution.
The meeting takes place in the plenary session, a process that ends the debate that the members of OPJM have held these days.
The ponclave Pioneril pays tribute to Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro and the National Hero of Cuba, José Martí.
