Havana, April 26 – The Regional Office of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Havana reported the results of the previous year when they managed to strengthen alliances and deepen ties with multiple institutions in the country.
The Director of the Regional Office in Havana, Anne Lemaistre, after referring to UNESCO's sustained ties with Cuba for 75 years, explained that these ties facilitate its role as a laboratory of ideas, a center for the exchange of information and capacities, and an engine of international cooperation.
She pointed out as strengths its national and regional reach, the possibility of executing large-scale projects and being the only agency specialized in education, science, culture and communication.
She cited some of the actions of the previous year, among them the Transcultura program, also integrated into the Caribbean. (Radio Reloj Website) (Photo: Taken from the Internet)
