Havana, May 12 – National Fire Protection Week will be inaugurated today at the Food Marketing Company, the Cuban Fire Corps (CBC, for its acronym in Spanish) confirmed.
Its opening in this capital, in its 59th edition, is the main event of the National Day of the Security and Protection System against Fires, Physical and Nautical in the country, which constitutes a responsibility of the Agencies of the Central Administration of the State.
According to the program of the institution, of the Ministry of the Interior, this Monday the special morning meetings begin by the administrations of the shipping companies, marinas and fishing companies, which will last until next Sunday, May 18.
They will coincide, until Friday the 16th, with the practical exercises of managers and workers of vital economic objectives to independently face a nautical, physical protection and dangerous substance contingency.
The maritime education centers will also be the venue for meetings and activities on nautical safety and the castles of Morro of Havana and Santiago de Cuba will be decorated.
