Ramallah, May 13. - The Israeli military today arrested numerous Palestinians during various raids carried out in the occupied West Bank, under an extensive military operation since last January.
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) troops arrested six people this morning during a raid on the town of Idhana, in the southern Hebron governorate, and three more in the Askar refugee camp.
Another was detained in the town of Beita, south of the city of Nablus, regional media reported.
According to sources, the uniformed officers raided and destroyed numerous homes in that town.
Three others were arrested at dawn during raids in the Al-Am'ari refugee camp and in the city of Al-Bireh.
The city of Bethlehem was also the target of an incursion by Israeli troops, who occupied several streets and neighborhoods, including Al-Fawaghra, Al-Madbasa, and Manger Square.
The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission reported this week that the IDF has arrested 770 minors in the West Bank since the start of the war in Gaza in October 2023.
The Israeli army launched a major operation in January against the northern West Bank, particularly around the cities of Tulkarem and Jenin, and their respective refugee camps. (Text and photo: PL)
