Havana, May 23rd. - Cuba's Deputy Foreign Minister Anayansi Rodriguez reviewed with her Azerbaijani counterpart, Yalchín Rafiyev, on the good state of bilateral relations.
During a meeting in the capital, vice-chancellors discussed the prospects for strengthening economic-trade ties and cooperation between the two countries.
According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed various issues of interest to the multilateral agenda, and noted the fluid cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
They also elaborated on the issue of climate change and the follow-up to the agreements adopted during the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Officials of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, as well as the Azerbaijani ambassador to Cuba, Ruslan Rzayev, the director of the Azerbaijan International Development Agency, Elmaddin Mehdiyev, and the director of the Department of Strategic Analysis and Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Eurasian country, Shahin Shahyarov, were present at the meeting.
