Camagüey, May 27th. - As part of the IV International Scientific and Technological Convention of the University of Camagüey, three workshops related to Management Capabilities, Local Development, and Scientific Journals were held, which are part of the XIX Conference on Economic Sciences.
Although the main venue for the event was in Cayo Coco, it was held at the Santa Cecilia Convention Center. Dr. C. Ariel Zamora Ferriol, coordinator of the Business Management and Local Development workshop, stated: "The decision to hold the debates in the city of Camagüey is due to the role the workshop plays in public life and government management. Most of the papers presented contribute to key sectors of the economy, including production and services, that are directly or indirectly related to the development of businesses in the province."
For its part, developing the skills of executives in the Cuban business system remains a challenge for the country. Issues such as maintaining abreast of science and technology are vital to business development.
The Scientific Journals Workshop addressed issues related to the constant transformations in the publishing and technological worlds, as well as the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence for the proper dissemination of scientific results.
The conference featured several keynote addresses related to organizational innovation, the Costa Rican experience in University Extension, scientific serial publications in Cuba, and business intelligence in corporate management.
The event featured international speakers, specifically from Costa Rica in person, and Mexican students online. Professionals from different provinces across the country also participated, with a large number of participants from the Master's programs in Business Management and Regional Development from the University of Camagüey.
