Ramallah, May 29 – At least 13 Palestinians were killed and others injured today during Israeli bombardments against the Gaza Strip, which is suffering a severe humanitarian crisis due to the war and the blockade of that country.
The official Palestinian news agency reported that seven civilians, including children and women, were killed in an attack on a home and a kindergarten in the northern town of Jabalia al-Balad.
A citizen and his pregnant wife were also killed in a similar incident in the southern city of Khan Yunis.
The news media reported that a 13-year-old boy was killed and several people were injured in a raid on tents located in the city of Deir al-Balah, while relief teams recovered a dead body in the village of Abasan al-Jadida.
According to official data, since the beginning of the aggression against Gaza in October 2023, more than 54,000 Palestinians have been killed and 123,000 injured, in addition to thousands missing under the rubble.
Benjamin Netanyahu's government launched a total blockade of the territory on March 2, causing a profound crisis due to the lack of food, medicine, fuel, and other vital supplies.
Faced with the wave of international criticism, Israel began in recent days to distribute aid, limited and outside the UN system, a measure that led to condemnations from many countries, which denounced the selectivity of the measure. (Text and photo: PL)
