Havana, June 5th. - Directors of eight permanent working committees of the National Assembly of People's Power began a parliamentary visit to the province of Camagüey, as part of preparations for the Provincial Government's upcoming report to the National Assembly, scheduled for next July.
Danhiz Díaz Pereira, vice president of the Commission for Youth, Children, and Women's Equality, led a tour of social institutions in the Florida municipality.
At the "Primero de Octubre" Grandparents' Home and the "Amparo Carriera Montes" Maternity Home, she observed the quality of health services, prevention and social care programs, and the implementation of policies aimed at individuals and families in vulnerable situations.
During her visit to the Home for Children Without Family Support, located in the La Zambrana neighborhood, Díaz Pereira verified the children's living conditions, their educational progress, and the support the institution receives from local organizations, agricultural cooperatives, and the community.

In the discussion with members of the Florida Prevention and Social Care Group, topics such as strategies for combating crime and corruption, as well as the operation of the three daycare centers and the children's home in the area, were discussed.
The parliamentary visit, which will last until June 7, will include tours of the 13 municipalities of Camagüey, with the primary objective of meeting with the population, delegates, presidents of popular councils, and other local authorities, in what constitutes an exercise in socialist democracy.
