More than 120 dead and wounded in Gaza after new Israeli attacks

Ramallah, June 10 – Israeli soldiers killed 23 Palestinians and wounded more than 100 others today, most of them as they approached an aid distribution center to ask for food in central Gaza.

Medical sources reported that 17 citizens, including a child, were killed and more than 100 injured when the soldiers opened fire on a group heading toward one of these centers, located on the so-called Netzarim axis, created by Israel to cut the coastal enclave in two.

This month, the soldiers fired several times at people demanding food, a situation that sparked a wave of international criticism and condemnation.

The Gaza Strip is experiencing a serious humanitarian crisis due to the war, compounded by the blockade ordered by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which prevents the entry of food, medicine, fuel, and other vital goods.

This Tuesday, three members of the same family were killed after an Israeli airstrike targeted a tent for displaced people in the southern area of ??Al-Mawasi, national media reported.

Meanwhile, warplanes launched attacks against homes in the Batn al-Sameene neighborhood in the nearby city of Khan Yunis, where the army launched a new ground offensive a few weeks ago.

Five civilians were injured in an Israeli drone strike in the Al-Da'wa area in central Gaza, and injuries were also reported in a similar incident in the city of Deir al-Balah.

According to official data, since the beginning of the aggression against the territory on October 7, 2023, the Israeli armed forces have killed nearly 55,000 Palestinians and injured another 126,000. (Text and photo: PL)
