United Socialist Party of Venezuela calls for a march for peace

Caracas, June 19 – The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV, for its acronym in Spanish), Diosdado Cabello, announced a march in Caracas today for world peace and in rejection of Israel's aggression against Iran.

During his weekly Wednesday night program, "Con el Mazo Dando," the political leader praised the Persian nation's response as necessary and timely, "but we have to bet on world peace," he stated.

What need did they have to drop bombs and kill people working for the Iranian government? They were seeking war and had previously murdered several. Iran was full of patience and said, "Enough!" he expressed.

"Let’s hope that with this Israel learn from the blow they received and those who are waging war do not do anything to endanger the peace of the world because they will take that war to their own territory," he predicted.

In the opinion of the Bolivarian political leader, "it would be a terrible mistake to believe that the European Union is going to get involved in a war against Iran and that Iran will be alone in this battle," he said.

He emphasized that anyone making such calculations "is half mistaken because if the United States promotes a war in the world, don't believe that this will be like World War II; this will be global," he added.

"Leave the world in peace, and let each government and people decide how to govern themselves," demanded the sector vice president of the Policy, Citizen Security, and Peace.

He asserted that justice is being done in the face of impunity, and that is why, "I believe the people of the world are applauding Iran today for its courage, for putting the emphasis where it goes," he emphasized.
Cabello emphasized that when people take a step like the one taken by the Iranian, "no one can stop it."

The PSUV leader insisted that he hopes peace prevails "because everything has its origins in the genocide committed by Zionism in Palestine and against its neighbors; that is the beginning of everything," he stressed. (Text and photo: PL)
