The threat of direct aggression from the U.S. The US against the Islamic Republic of Iran, encouraged by the genocidal government of Israel, came true, following the cowardly bombing of the nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan.
Cuba strongly condemns these serious acts that constitute a dangerous escalation of the conflict in the Middle East and a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and International Law.
The Cuban government reiterates its solidarity with the Iranian people and government.
With this irresponsible step, the United States recklessly hijacks the search for regional peace and drags Humanity into a crisis of incalculable consequences.
The U.S. government, in attacking nuclear facilities under the International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards regime, also seriously violates the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
We call once again on the General Assembly and the United Nations Security Council to exercise their primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security; to global mobilization to condemn aggression and to prevent further, and to act tirelessly to restore peace, with the urgency and determination required by the time.
