Cuba warns about the situation with humanitarian aid in Gaza

Havana, June 24 – Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Cuban Foreign Minister, warned today of the urgency of Israel demilitarizing the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

In X the Chancellor pointed out that the population must have sufficient access to these essential resources, without limits or conditions.

He specified that in May alone, 5,119 children in Gaza between six months and five years old were admitted for treatment for acute malnutrition.

Of these, 636 suffer from severe acute malnutrition, Rodríguez Parrilla emphasized, reflecting the seriousness of the situation in the coastal enclave, where, according to representatives of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, humanitarian aid is becoming a weapon serving political and military objectives.

Since May, the delivery of supplies to Gaza has been carried out through a new distribution model that obstructs the participation of UN agencies and is managed by the Humanitarian Foundation, controlled by Israel and the United States.

Gaza authorities have reported Israeli attacks on these delivery points, resulting in hundreds of deaths while collecting food. (Text and photo: ACN)
