Havana, June 26th - Cuba today reiterated its policy of zero tolerance in confronting the misuse and illicit trafficking of drugs, on the occasion of the International Day against this scourge.
Through his profile on the social network X, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, indicated that such efforts respond to the will of the Cuban State to address this issue from a comprehensive approach, with prevention and confrontation actions
On December 7, 1987, the United Nations General Assembly established each June 26 as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The celebration aims to strengthen global action and cooperation in order to achieve a society free from drug use, and to raise awareness about the serious problem that illicit drugs represent for society. (Text and photo: PL)
