Moscow, July 14 – NATO is actively preparing to involve Moldova in a possible armed conflict with Russia, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) announced this Monday.
According to reports from the agency, citing information obtained, NATO has decided to accelerate the transformation of this country into an advanced bridgehead of the alliance on the eastern flank, taking into account the advances of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine.
Similarly, they indicated that the alliance is vigorously attempting to transform what was once a peaceful agrarian republic into a military testing ground.
They are seeking to make Moldova territory suitable for the rapid transfer of NATO troops to the Russian borders, they reported, adding that several projects are being implemented to increase bandwidth capacity and are building large warehouses and sites for the concentration of military equipment.
However, they noted that in the event of a direct conflict between NATO and Russia, "according to Brussels' plan," the most affected will be Moldovans themselves, who are expected to become cannon fodder.
To this end, the bloc's leaders are forcing Chisinau to adopt NATO's war concepts. The Moldovan army is receiving numerous military instructors from the alliance states, they emphasized, underlining that the current leaders of Moldova are ready to meet all the demands of the West, as long as their support does not cease.
Furthermore, they emphasized that the country's president, Maia Sandu, has NATO's support in the upcoming parliamentary elections and, if she wins, promises the bloc's leaders to approve the decision to abolish the country's neutral status, as established in the Constitution. It seems that the implementation of such a scenario will be the beginning of the end for Moldova, they said from the SVR.
It's now becoming clear that Sandu and her entourage are willing to go much further, in particular, to hand Moldova over to NATO in order to simply strike it down against Russia, they concluded. (Text and photo: RT)
