Camagüey, August 9.- A total of 17 lawyers were welcomed as new members of the National Organization of Collective Law Firms (ONBC, for its acronym in Spanish) in the Nicolás Guillén Protocol Room, located in the emblematic Revolution Square. After completing their training, these professionals will become excellent representatives in the legal field.
Specialist Noris Busto Serrano emphasized the work carried out by the participants in the meeting in her words of gratitude. "Our province welcomes 17 new lawyers, whose personal dedication, combined with the support received from each of the groups they were associated with, made it possible to successfully complete this entire period, regardless of their age and the different paths through which they gained access to our units", she stated.
"From today, they assume a commitment of sacrifice and dedication to practice this beautiful yet difficult profession, as it demands constant professional, political, and ideological improvement to continue a tradition bequeathed to us by lawyers who accompany us today, and by others who are no longer physically with us".
Subsequently, the reading of the agreement for admission to the ONBC, expressed in Decree Law 176, on the Practice of Law and the National Organization of Collective Law Firms, dated December 20, 2024, took place. It states that the ONBC "is constituted by all legal experts who voluntarily apply for admission and are admitted to the regular practice of law".
In this way, new members join the ONBC with their families, who also presented them with their gowns. After signing the Code of Ethics for lawyers, Mr. José Dayan Velazco Padrón addressed those present. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of joining the organization as well as the new challenges that will arise in the future, but which will be assumed with the necessary preparation and professional development.
The ONBC admission ceremony concluded with closing remarks from Jesús Guerra Muñoz, Secretary of the Party Core of the Provincial Directorate. An emotional moment that reaffirms the pool of new professionals, who are already nurturing their experiences and gaining experience in the practice of law.
The event was presided over by Noris Busto Serrano, Provincial Director of Collective Law Firms, along with Gretel Valdes Rosales, Provincial Chief Deputy Prosecutor, and José Ángel Fernández Castañeda, President of the Provincial Court of Camagüey.
