Camagüey, August 9.- The Camagüey branch of the Agricultural Engineering Research Institute (IAGRIC, for its acronym in Spanish) is promoting a series of projects aimed at strengthening agricultural resilience in the face of the challenges of climate change.
According to Camilo Bonet Pérez, PhD in Agricultural Technical Sciences and senior researcher, the studies focus on the more efficient use of technology in activities such as agricultural mechanization, irrigation, and drainage, as well as better use of water and energy, with an emphasis on renewable sources.
The objective is to achieve more sustainable agriculture through greater soil protection and the optimization of water and energy resources, the specialist noted.
The research work of the Camagüey branch of IAGRIC also covers areas and entities in the provinces of Ciego de Ávila, Sancti Spíritus, and Villa Clara. (Yamylé Fernández Rodríguez/Radio Reloj Correspondent) (Photo: Taken from the Internet)
