Hanoi, September 26 - The Vietnam Fatherland Front (FPV, for its acronym in Spanish) congratulated the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) on the occasion of the upcoming 65th anniversary of Cuba’s largest mass organization, to be celebrated on September 28.
In recent years, despite many difficulties and challenges caused by the economic, financial, and trade blockade imposed by the United States, the Communist Party, the State, and the Cuban people “have made efforts to implement many solutions aimed at national development,” wrote Do Van Chien, president of the FPV Central Committee.
Joining this common effort, the CDRs promote their central role by bringing together the popular masses to make significant contributions to the cause of protecting the Revolution and Cuba’s national security, and to drive social and community activities to build a beautiful country, he noted.
In his congratulatory message sent the previous day, Van Chien emphasized that the FPV and the Vietnamese people always appreciate the solidarity and unconditional support provided by Cuba to the Indochinese nation and are proud of the special and loyal relationship cultivated by President Ho Chi Minh, Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro, and generations of leaders.
The FPV wishes to strengthen cooperation with the CDRs, especially the effective implementation of the Cooperation Agreement for the 2023-2028 period, to take collaboration to a new height for the benefit of both peoples, the congratulatory message sent to the national coordinator of the iconic Cuban organization, Gerardo Hernández, added.
The letter also reaffirms that, in today’s volatile global context, the Communist Party, the State, the FPV, and the people of Vietnam will always stand shoulder to shoulder with Cuba to seize opportunities and overcome difficulties and challenges to develop the country.
Finally, it expresses confidence that the CDRs will grow stronger every day, and that the special solidarity and friendship existing between Vietnam and Cuba will also deepen in the coming times. (Text and photo: PL)
