Cuba salutes China on the 76th anniversary of its founding


Havana, Oct. 1 – Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel today sent his congratulations to Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Communist Party, the government, and the people on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

In a message shared through his social media, the Cuban leader expressed gratitude for China's ongoing solidarity with the Caribbean island, based on the brotherhood between the two countries.

On the same social media platform, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez also congratulated the Asian giant and highlighted the close bilateral ties.

“With this sister and beloved nation, we are united by strategic, multifaceted, and comprehensive relations based on solidarity and cooperation,” he emphasized on the platform.

The People's Republic of China, founded in 1949, is today the world's second-largest economy and the main trading partner of more than 140 countries, with a growing participation in global development projects and regional and international integration mechanisms. (Text and photo: PL)
