Havana, Nov. 10 - The Ministry of Transport (Mitrans) announced the gradual resumption of ticket sales for interprovincial bus transportation, national trains, and the maritime service to the Special Municipality of Isla de la Juventud, following the damages caused by Hurricane Melissa.
According to statements made by Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila, Minister of Transport, on his Facebook profile, the sales begin today, Monday, November 10, 2025, through the "Viajando" application and reservation agencies, which are open from 8:30 AM, according to official data.
This includes all National Bus routes, the maritime service between Nueva Gerona and Havana, and the train connecting Havana with Holguín.
Rail routes to other destinations in the eastern part of the country remained suspended due to damage to tracks and railway infrastructure in several provinces, the official added.
Mitrans announced that starting Tuesday, December 9, the normal ticket sales cycle, with 30 days in advance, will be restored, allowing for better organization in travel planning.
The measure aims to guarantee the mobility of the population and the recovery of basic national transportation services, which were affected by the weather event. (Source: ACN)
