Athens, Oct. 1st – Early on October 1st, Israeli military ships intimidated two vessels of the Global Sumud Flotilla, disrupted their communication systems, and carried out provocative maneuvers, a source from the convoy reported today.
From his ship, Argentine activist Carlos Bertola (Cascote) denounced that ships and a submarine of the Zionist army surrounded at least two vessels of the convoy and performed dangerous maneuvers that could have endangered the boats, before departing.
Just 100 nautical miles off the coast of Gaza, members of the flotilla believe they could face interception and reported being surrounded by drones and boats. No injuries were reported aboard the ALMA and SIRIUS vessels, the ones that were besieged.
The Sumud Flotilla, which is heading toward Gaza via the Eastern Mediterranean Sea to deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinian population, denounced the dangerous aggression by the Israeli occupation forces and called for the utmost attention from the international community, certain that they could be attacked at any moment.
