International campaign Bring them back, Maduro, Cilia Flores, Venezuela

International campaign "Bring them back!" launched to demand the release of Maduro and Cilia Flores

Caracas, Jan 16. - Deputy Nicolás Maduro Guerra announced preparations for the launch of an international campaign "Bring them back!". This initiative seeks to articulate a global movement to demand the release of the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and the First Combatant Cilia Flores, who were kidnapped by the United States since last January 3.

As part of the actions, the campaign will include the installation of real-time counters in all Venezuelan embassies and consulates worldwide. These devices will mark the days, hours, and minutes that have passed since the kidnapping of the presidential couple. The counter should take as its starting point 2:00 a.m. on January 3.

"We want the world to see, second by second, the time for which the will of a people and the institutions of a country have been held captive," expressed the parliamentarian during his address to social movements, diplomats, and jurists from various latitudes, within the framework of a virtual meeting convened by the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA-TCP, for its acronym in Spanish).

The deputy urged solidarity groups to prepare for a major worldwide day of action next February 3, marking the first month of the illegal capture of the Bolivarian leaders, highlighting the formation of chapters of the "Bring them back!" movement in each country.

Additionally, a front of international law experts will be articulated to denounce the "heinous and unimaginable crime" committed by the U.S. Administration, and a network of spokespersons will be deployed to break the siege of imperialist propaganda and promote the truth about Venezuela.

The deputy also highlighted the strength of Venezuelan institutions and the civic-military unity that has allowed peace to be maintained. He emphasized the fact of having the first woman at the head of the country, Acting President Delcy Rodríguez, who currently leads the Bolivarian Government team.

"Venezuela is a peaceful country that does not stop. We continue to advance economically, socially, and politically, with faith that, sooner rather than later, we will have them back in the name of God," Maduro Guerra emphasized.

For more information on the campaign and the online counter, interested parties will soon be able to access the official website, which will be announced shortly, according to the deputy.

On the past January 3, U.S. forces bombarded Caracas, the Venezuelan capital, and several areas in the states of Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira, resulting in at least 100 dead and a similar number of wounded.

During the military attack, U.S. Delta Force commandos kidnapped President Nicolás Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores. The presidential couple was transferred to New York, where they remain illegally detained in a maximum-security prison. (Text and Photo: Cubasí)
