Moscow, Mar 2.- The U.S. Department of War holds a press conference on its operation 'Epic Fury' against Iran, which began last Saturday.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth described the operation as "the most lethal, complex, and precise" in history.
At the same time, he once again attempted to justify the American aggression. "If you kill Americans, if you threaten Americans anywhere in the world, we will pursue you without apology and without hesitation, and we will kill you," he stated.
"It turns out that the regime that screamed death to America and death to Israel received death from the United States and Israel," he indicated.
Likewise, he maintained that, although the operation is not aimed at regime change in Iran, the regime did change.
Previously, Trump described the Venezuelan scenario as perfect for the development of events in Iran. At the same time, he warned that there could be casualties among American military personnel.
Israel and the United States launched a joint attack against Iran early Saturday morning, intending to "eliminate the threats" from the government of the Persian country.
The attacks claimed the life of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and at least four other senior military officials of the nation.
In response, Iran launched several waves of ballistic missiles towards Israel, as well as against US bases located in Middle Eastern countries.
In addition to the damage suffered by its bases in the region, the United States lost three soldiers, as well as three F-15 fighters, which were mistakenly shot down by Kuwait in a friendly fire incident. (Text and photo: RT)
