Camagüey, Oct 4th - As part of the actions of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) in the prevention and confrontation of crime, a public act was held at the Provincial Criminal Investigation Unit for the restitution of goods stolen from a group of people.
The activity, where details were offered to the population about the course of the investigation and the recovered goods, was attended by political and government authorities in the province, representatives of the Ministry, and of the different mass organizations in the territory.
The permanent actions of law enforcement, the Justice Organs, and in close connection with the people, allowed for the clarification of a group of aggravated robbery and theft crimes that occurred in the city center.
As a result of the cohesive work of the aforementioned factors, part of the stolen goods were recovered, which were delivered to their owners, who were present and gratefully acknowledged the work carried out to clarify the facts.
Dr. Guillermo Brito, surgical deputy director of the Manuel Ascunce Domenech Provincial Hospital, expressed his gratitude to the MININT forces for the efficiency in the investigative process, which made it possible to capture the wrongdoers and recover property belonging to that health institution.
On the other hand, the officer of the Technical Investigation Directorate, Onel Castillo Reinaldo, reaffirmed the unwavering position of the Ministry of the Interior to combat crime and that the people can always count unconditionally on its members.
