Camagüey, Oct 7th - In the context of the celebrations for the 49th anniversary of the creation of the National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers (ANIR), the Territorial Division of the Telecommunications Company of Cuba (Etecsa) hosted the provincial ceremony for Innovator's Day, a recognition of the work carried out by the collective in recent years.
Edel López Carvajal, president of the movement in the province, highlighted the entity's results in saving energy carriers, import substitution, and increasing services with creative solutions that allow significant advances, improvements in production processes, and technological contributions with social and economic impact in the country.
On October 8th, he said, the recognition will be given to the collective and individually to Abel Blanco Henquen, Roberto Vázquez Sánchez, Yunier Bernal Cepero and Yenkell Lliteras Cebada, the latter one of the 28 workers who received the award for Greatest Economic Impact throughout the country.
He explained that in the twenty-third edition of the Innovator Award, granted by the Association, the values of Lliteras Cebada were recognized for his dedication in strategic fronts of the telecommunications sector and the contributions to digital transformation with savings of more than 16 million pesos due to import substitution.
The Territorial Division of Etecsa in Camagüey has trained personnel to assume constant technological changes in the face of difficulties in acquiring spare parts and updating software and licenses.
López Carvajal highlighted the innovative work in energy, maintenance of the generating sets, creation of applications to improve and optimize the processes and in the commercial field.
