Camagüey municipality maintains income above expenses

Camagüey, Oct. 9 -The municipality of Camagüey maintains its surplus status, with revenues of nearly 1.385 billion pesos higher than expenses, indicating favorable performance of the state budget this year.

The Finance and Pricing Directorate in the district explained that the over-compliance was due to the tax on services, labor force utilization, and personal income tax sections.

This entity specified that revenues are projected to reach more than 3 billion pesos by 2026, an estimated increase compared to the updated amount of more than 400 million, according to a publication published by Radio Camagüey on its website.

On the other hand, the website states that the collection of property tax revenues for distribution to entities and projects in the locality amounts to 37 million pesos.

Among the most important features of the state budget for the upcoming calendar in the provincial capital of Camagüey is the support for the continuity and development of the country's priority socioeconomic programs and policies, amid the current difficult conditions.

Similarly, state funding guarantees basic services to the population, attention to the challenges of demographic dynamics, rurality, and social protections for vulnerable individuals and communities, adds the aforementioned digital page.

As part of the Revolution's achievements, the allocated budget dedicates a significant portion to the insurance and development of activities and sectors such as Public Health, Education, Sports, Culture, the Unit of Municipal Supply and Support to Administration, Housing, as well as Communal and Social Assistance.
