Camagüey, Oct 13.- Bank workers in Camagüey, affiliated with the Bank of Credit and Commerce (Bandec, for ), Popular Savings Bank (BPA, for its acronym in Spanish), and Cadeca S.A., are preparing to commemorate their day on October 13, the date when the Law of Bank Nationalization was enacted by the revolutionary government.
This occasion also serves to pay tribute to the appointment of Commander Ernesto Che Guevara as the first revolutionary president of the National Bank of Cuba, which occurred on November 26 of that same year.
These workers are committed to diversifying services to improve quality and efficiency in serving the people and to ensure commercial activity.
It is worth recalling that on October 21, 1960, the Heroic Guerrilla fighter stated that without the implemented measures, the bank would not be able to fulfill its true function of directing credit and supporting the country’s industrialization process.
BPA in Camagüey currently operates in 33 locations across the province, with a banking network of 20 branches and 24 savings banks. It is focused on recovering social credits as well as in the campaign to collect temporarily free liabilities in the hands of the population.
Bandec has branches in the territories of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, Esmeralda, Sierra de Cubitas, Santa Lucía, Guáimaro, Sibanicú, Florida, Vertientes, Jimaguayú, Najasa, and Santa Cruz del Sur, as well as in the city of Camagüey on Cisneros Street, República Street, and in the premises of the general railway offices on Joaquín de Agüero Street.
Every interaction with clients, they recognize, is an opportunity to meet their needs, offer personalized solutions, and support them on their financial journey.
Bandec and BPA have undertaken the distribution of thousands of electronic cards to both workers and retirees and are working to perfect this process.
On this occasion, more than 40 workers with service ranging from five to over 45 years will receive awards presented by the Public Administration Union. (Text: Enrique Atiénzar Rivero/collaborator of Radio Cadena Agramonte) (Photo: Internet)
