Nuevitas, October 16. - In the educational centers in this Camagüey municipality are involving students in initiatives to care for, rescue, and rehabilitate the environment.
Taylin Ferrada Robles, principal of the Manuel Ascunce Domenech Elementary School, commented that they have a Nature Protection Brigade made up of third- and fourth-grade students.
From the first classes of the subject "The World We Live In," team members alternate, in stages, responsibilities in which they plan and execute actions to conserve the environment.
"Fostering feelings of love, protection, and conservation for everything that surrounds the student through activities based on the Life Task, food sovereignty, and animal welfare is essential in the environmental education of new generations," Ferrada Robles noted.
Similarly, within the different institutions of the educational system in this coastal city, there are several interest circles that, aiming to prolong existence on the planet, maintain alliances with the Red Cross Branch, and the Centers for Disaster Risk Reduction and Environmental Research of Camagüey.
