University of Medical Sciences strengthens its communication processes

Camagüey, Oct. 17th - With the active participation of faculty and students from the Faculty of Medicine, the Carlos J. Finlay University of Medical Sciences in Camagüey has initiated an unprecedented and transformative process: the development of its first institutional communication strategy.

Until now, the higher education institution lacked a clear roadmap to manage its internal and external communication, which generated gaps in information transmission, message dispersion, and limited visibility of its achievements in public and digital spaces.

With the aim of reversing this situation, a team of communication consultants has begun to work in an articulated manner with professors, researchers, and teaching staff from the faculties.

Through personalized interviews and participatory workshops, key information is being collected to build a coherent narrative that represents the institution's identity, mission, and values, attuned to current times.

"We want the university community to feel part of this process. The strategy will not be an imposed document, but a tool built from the voices that make life at the university," said General Vice-Dean Ivisel Infante.

This process not only seeks to improve the circulation of information among the different university bodies, but also to enhance the faculty's presence on social networks, digital media, and scientific dissemination spaces.

The strategy will include guidelines for content creation, spokesperson protocols, institutional campaigns, and a communication agenda that showcases the university's academic, cultural, and social contributions.

With this initiative, the University positions itself in a new stage of institutional maturity, betting on a more strategic, inclusive, and aligned communication with contemporary challenges.

The university community will be periodically informed about the progress of the process, and the final strategy is expected to be ready for implementation in the next semester. (Luis Varcasia Era/Contributor Adelante Digital) (Photo: Taken from the Internet)
