Camagüey, Oct. 29 - Walter Simón Noris, president of the Provincial Defense Council (CDP), appeared via telephone on the special programming of Radio Cadena Agramonte where he reported that the territory had minimal effects from the passage of Hurricane Melissa, although the possibility of coastal flooding remains in the northern part of the region.
Simón Noris thanked the people of Camagüey for their positive and disciplined response and called for maintaining the measures established by Civil Defense until the province passes to normality.
He emphasized that this was another victory for the people, the Communist Party of Cuba, and the Revolution, just like the one expected today from the United Nations General Assembly.
At this time, the main authorities of the CDP are at Santa Lucía beach, north of the city of Camagüey, to monitor from there the retreat of Hurricane Melissa from Cuban territory. (Digital Newsroom) (Photos: Internet)
