Venezuela, maneuver, U.S., Marco Rubio, Terrorist Organization, Cartel of the Suns

Venezuela rejects ridiculous U.S. fabrication against a nonexistent organization

Moscow, November 24 - The Venezuelan government rejected the announced maneuver by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to designate the nonexistent Cartel of the Suns as a terrorist organization, starting this Monday.

According to Caracas, the strategy seeks to revive an infamous and vile lie to justify an illegitimate and illegal intervention against Venezuela, under the classic US format of regime change.

On his Telegram account, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil predicted that Washington's maneuver will follow the fate of other aggression strategies: failure.

The official statement considers it foolish for Venezuela to waste valuable governing time responding to unfounded accusations, but emphasizes the unity and cohesion needed to address national life in all its dimensions.

In this vein, Caracas urges the US administration to rectify this erratic policy of aggression and threats, which are repudiated even by large social sectors in the US and which affect the development of the peoples of the Caribbean.

Likewise, it reiterates that the policy of hostilities does not contribute to a true and genuine fight against illicit drug trafficking. Nevertheless, the Venezuelan government affirms that it will maintain perfect popular, police, and military union to safeguard the peace and interests of the country.

"And with the Liberator Simón Bolívar we say aloud: Peace will be my port, my glory, my reward, my hope, my happiness and all that is precious to me in this world," the statement concludes.

 US Aggression

For several months now, the United States has maintained a significant military force deployed off the coast of Venezuela and has been conducting airstrikes against boats in the Caribbean, which have left more than 70 people dead. These actions are attempts to justify its hostile and unilateral actions as part of the fight against drugs.

At the same time, Washington has accused Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, without evidence or substantiation, of leading an alleged drug cartel, the existence of which has not been documented by any international anti-drug trafficking organization.

Months ago, former Green Beret and American mercenary Jordan Goudreau suggested the theory that this alleged organization was actually created decades ago by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). In this context, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi doubled the reward for information leading to the arrest of the Venezuelan leader to 50 million dollars.

Maduro has repeatedly described the White House's maneuvers as a smear campaign against his administration to justify any action against the Bolivarian nation. He denounced this strategy as an attempt to tarnish the image of the South American country and its revolution as a pretext for aggression, something they have done many times before.

He also warned that the US's real objective is regime change in order to seize Venezuela's immense oil and gas wealth.

Many countries supported Caracas and criticized the US aggression. Russia denounced Washington for using false pretexts to create another source of instability in the region.

From Russia, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated: "The fight against drugs should not be used as a tool of pressure against sovereign states. We oppose the use of force to interfere in internal affairs." (Text and photo: RT)
