Moscow, Nov 29.- U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he is canceling any document signed by the autopen of his predecessor, Joe Biden.
"Any document signed by sleepy Joe Biden with the autopen, which was approximately 92% of them, is hereby rescinded and of no effect whatsoever. The use of the autopen is not permitted without the specific approval of the President of the United States," he posted on his Truth Social account.
The Republican also accused the "lunatics" of the radical left who surrounded Biden around the beautiful Resolute desk in the Oval Office of having "snatched" the presidency from the former U.S. leader.
"Hereby, I cancel all executive orders and anything else that was not signed directly by crooked Joe Biden, as the people who handled the autopen did so illegally," he stated, emphasizing that the Democrat was not involved in the autopen process and, "if he says he was, he will be charged with perjury."
The decision came after Trump blamed the Biden administration in connection with the shooting against members of the National Guard, which took place on Wednesday in Washington D.C. Thus, he stated that the previous administration let thousands of Afghan citizens into the country, including the alleged shooter, Rahmanullah Lakanwal. He was referring to 'Operation Allies Welcome' following the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan in August 2021.
Since last May, Republicans have been conducting an investigation in the U.S. Congress into Biden's mental state during his Presidency, in an attempt to clarify whether he could truly lead the country given his health condition, as well as to determine if he was mentally competent to authorize the use of the signing device.
Republican Senator Josh Hawley stated that the scandal being revealed about the use of that device amounts to one of the worst constitutional crises in the nation's history.
"We have to find out who really signed, so to speak, all those autopen signatures and all those pardons and all those clemencies," he emphasized. "It's a rogues' gallery, criminals and terrible people, rapists and others. I mean, who really did it? We know it wasn't Biden, he didn't know anything about it. We have to find out who was really in charge, because it clearly wasn't Joe Biden," he said.
For his part, Trump accused his predecessor's inner circle of treason, suggesting they took control of Biden's autopen. (Text and photo: RT)
