Camagüey, Nov 28.- The Information System of Radio in Camagüey held its Annual Balance Assembly, a meeting aimed at identifying common points to strengthen journalistic work and guide projections for the upcoming calendar. The event was chaired by Susana Cortés Machado, head of the Department of Media Communication, Advertising, and Sponsorship of the Institute of Information and Social Communication in the province; Pedro Cruz Moiset, director of the medium; and Ayler Almarales Fonseca, deputy director of Information and Communication.
During the exchange, various deficiencies were analyzed, with emphasis on limitations in communicative action on social networks, particularly on platform X. The installation of six-kilowatt solar panels at the Provincial Radio Directorate and at the broadcaster of the City of the Tinajones (Earthenware jars) was also highlighted, an advance that contributes to improving journalists' working conditions.

In the debate, Manuel Sanzo, director of Radio Esmeralda, emphasized the importance of tightening the relationship between journalists and institutional communicators to enrich the information flow.
Loipa Araujo, head of the Editorial Office of Radio Cadena Agramonte, valued that in a year of great complexities, timely and accurate information was maintained, underscoring the urgency of attracting recent university graduates and creating mechanisms that favor their permanence in the media.
Roilán Pérez, journalist from La Voz del Bayatabo, exposed the difficulties in practicing the profession in municipalities due to the scarcity of technical resources and the electroenergetic situation, although he highlighted that "the impetus is not lacking."
He also pointed out that despite the validity of the Communication Law, there are still leaders who fail to fulfill the obligation to provide information. He reflected on the importance of defending the vitality of the radio medium and generating conditions that allow the stability of journalists and artists in the stations.

Dayneris Maxam, journalist and program director at the main plant, alerted about the insufficient enrollment of future professionals; she stated that the demand of mass communication media in the province is not met, nor that of extra-media entities, and proposed resuming diplomas and intensive courses to reorient professionals who wish to practice the profession.
For his part, Diosmel Galano, journalist from Radio Camagüey, called to overcome everyday problems with creativity and dedication, to seek wonder in daily work, and to bet on a more human journalism that goes beyond the institutional act to tell real stories without losing attachment to the truth. He also noted that the creation of a movement of young radio broadcasters is being debated to promote a more contemporary style, and that one of the great challenges is to improve content production for the digital environment where the province still shows lags.
In the assembly, the outstanding work of Yaykibel Cordoví (Radio Guáimaro), Pedro Pablo Sáez (Radio Florida), Arianna Suárez (Radio Nuevitas), Raúl Reyes (Radio Santa Cruz), Iván Martínez (Radio Cubitas), Rodolfo Medina (Radio Camagüey), Anna Lilian López (Radio Esmeralda), Roilán Pérez (La Voz del Bayatabo), Frank Fernández (Radio Vertientes), Yanisleydis Peña (Radio Sibanicú), and Gleibis Gómez (Radio Cadena Agramonte) was recognized as a show of the sustained effort of the sector during the year.

The meeting concluded with a call to renew Camagüey's radial journalism and adopt mechanisms that allow responding to digital times, despite technical and energy limitations.
The importance of complying with the Communication Law was reiterated to ensure timely information for the population and to strengthen communication management in 2026, in line with the needs of the territory and the demands of the public.
