Nuevitas, Camagüey, Jan 23.- In this Camagüey municipality, an interdisciplinary consultation composed of Public Health specialists is conducted to care for people with aftereffects of chikungunya, every Friday in the Rehabilitation Room located on Calixto García Street.
The specialists and technicians evaluate local residents referred by the family doctor for being in the chronic phase and experiencing moderate or severe muscular or skeletal pain, with or without functional disability.
This consultation is also held every Monday in the community of Camalote to bring the service closer to the population of this people's council and surrounding areas.
The multidisciplinary team consists of clinicians, a comprehensive general practitioner, a physiatrist, a psychologist, and, if necessary, a pediatrician.

As a complementary aspect, in the Rehabilitation Room, different exercises advised by technicians and specialists are conducted, tailored according to the patient's pathology.
