A new anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution arrives, motivated by 2026 being the Year of the Centenary of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, which fills us with commitment to advance the work of full independence and sovereignty in the Cuban nation.
If indeed Fidel's spirit of resistance, optimism, and faith in victory accompanied us during the complex year left behind, a no less decisive component must encourage our tasks from now on—tasks that promise to be extremely challenging amidst a highly controversial and threatening international scenario.
Such challenges can only be faced with the broadest unity and the daily example of leaders at all levels, which consciously motivates the masses to build together the country we need—the country outlined for us by the Moncada Program, which remains fully valid and adaptable to every moment.
Today, more than ever, strategic actions demand full popular participation to solve daily problems. In the land of Agramonte [Camagüey], no one can be satisfied while there are tasks in their environment to be undertaken or warnings to be raised regarding inadequate execution, as requested by the top leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba, knowing that proper motivation inclines the popular will as an unstoppable force.
It is emphasized that success will only be achieved by solving problems with the people's participation, combining control and administrative mechanisms with the corresponding enthusiasm, and by thinking and acting as a country to achieve the expected impact.
We must remember and apply, due to its enduring relevance, what Fidel said here in Camagüey when outlining the difficulties of the socialist camp—the fundamental support for all development at that time—and predicting its weakening based on existing contexts: that "even in those circumstances, Cuba and the Cuban Revolution would keep fighting and keep resisting!"
What better tribute to the permanent presence of the Commander in Chief than to demonstrate that the conviction and determination exist here to make that historic premonition a reality through continuous materialization in work and action, with firmness of principles and trust in the Party as the soul of the Revolution, and without neglecting unity—the "apple of our eye," as Army General Raúl Castro Ruz called it.
As the First Secretary of the Party, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, recently affirmed: "let us make a work out of every action so that this is the year to study and apply Fidelista thought more deeply, to follow his example of tireless work, of loyalty to principles, and of absolute trust in the people and in the victory of ideas."
Let us ratify in 2026 that this is the people of Fidel and Raúl: conquerors of the impossible!
