Renewable energy strengthens funeral care in Minas, with Chinese collaboration and bilateral support

Minas, Camagüey, Mar 10. - The incorporation of solar panels in the municipality of Minas represents significant progress in improving funeral services, seeking greater efficiency and sustainability in caring for families during sensitive times.

Thanks to renewable energy, the operation of essential equipment and facilities is guaranteed, even in situations of power outages, which have worsened recently due to sanctions by the United States.

This measure will benefit the three funeral homes located in the popular councils of Minas, Senado, and Lugareño. The installation will allow for the provision of stable service in various areas such as cafeterias, chapels, and outdoor spaces, which will contribute to improving the well-being of the families served.

The assembly will be carried out by technicians and specialists from Copextel in collaboration with the regional Electric Company, who will be responsible for the efficient installation and commissioning of the systems.

Alexis Gutiérrez Gallardo, director of the Communal Services Company, stated that "the incorporation of these systems represents a significant step forward in raising the quality of services, ensuring more stable care during moments of high sensitivity, and this initiative is part of a set of actions being developed to strengthen the territory's energy resilience."

The installed solar panels have been donated to Cuba by the People's Republic of China, within the framework of bilateral cooperation ties and as support to face the current energy difficulties in the country. (Roilan Pérez Agüero/La Voz del Bayatabo, Minas) (Photo: Takenfrom Internet)
