Venezuela in the crosshairs: La Guaira, symbol of imperial appetite

Vertientes, Camagüey, January 3rd – The early hours of January 3rd lit up the central coast of Venezuela with fire. The port of La Guaira, a vital artery for trade and national supply, was the target of an attack that can only be interpreted as the most recent expression of the United States' imperial selfishness.

Venezuela, with its vast reserves of oil and strategic minerals, has become an obsession for Washington. The attack on La Guaira is not an isolated incident; it is a calculated attempt to strangle the country's economic veins, to isolate and subdue it.

Faced with this, the international community watches ambiguously. Some remain silent, others offer weak condemnations, and only a few dare to point out the obvious: behind every missile lies an economic interest, behind every operation, a geopolitical calculation.

On this global chessboard, Venezuela stands as an example of resistance. The aggression against La Guaira transcends the military sphere: it is confirmation that the United States remains intent on conquering the wealth of others under the banner of freedom.

This attack is also an opportunity for the peoples of the South to raise their voices. What is happening today in Venezuela could be repeated tomorrow in any corner of Latin America or the world. The defense of Venezuelan sovereignty is, now more than ever, the defense of self-determination for all peoples. (Frank Fernández García/Radio Vertientes) (Photo: Taken from the Internet)
