Camagüey, January 5 - The Cuban Workers' Union (CTC, for its acronym in Spanish) in the province is holding special demonstrations today in support of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and against what it calls attempted invasions.
In over a dozen public squares, labor collectives across this extensive Cuban province are raising their voices in solidarity with the Bolivarian people and government.
The day comes after recent events on South America soil, which are being followed with concern by the island's trade union movement.
The Agricultural Sector is gathering at the Provincial Agriculture Delegation, and the Sugar Sector at the Lenin Workshops.
Civilian workers are meeting at the EMI Ignacio Agramonte, and the Commerce Union at the corresponding Business Group.
Other meeting points included the Young Computer Clubs (Communications), MICONS (Construction), and the Electric Company (Energy and Mines).
Also joining are the Transport Sector at the Airport, and the Tourism Sector at Transtur, all participating today in a clear gesture of united support for a united America. (Source: Prensa Latina) (Photo: Archive)
