City of the Earthenware Jars among Cuba's top tourist destinations

Camagüey, with its rich culture, welcomes thousands of visitors annually, making it one of the country's most prominent tourist destinations and a fundamental pillar of the local economy.

The province boasts two beaches that have become major tourist attractions in recent years: the famous Santa Lucía beach and the Cayo Cruz resort area, which promises to become one of Cuba's best beach resorts, alongside Varadero, offering hotels that provide excellent service to guests.

The tourism sector not only contributes to the province's economy but also generates employment and supports residents' income through non-state businesses such as private restaurants and hostels. Furthermore, it opens new opportunities for those working in hotels and other tourist facilities.

With the goal of improving the quality of services, Tourism Training Centers, known as Formatur, have been established to train professionals for the tourism sector.

The arrival of foreign visitors allows for the dissemination of Camagüey's culture and traditions to other nations, thus attracting more tourists to the city.

It is crucial to improve the infrastructure of hotel facilities, diversify offerings, and optimize services provided to both domestic and international tourists so that those who visit the city leave with a positive impression and want to return.

Although tourism in Cuba currently faces challenges, the island remains among the world's leading tourist destinations thanks to its beautiful beaches and the warmth of its residents, who make tourists feel at home. (Text: Roger Ariel Díaz Sánchez/Radio Cadena Agramonte) (Photo: Internet)
