Forceful responses from Cubans to the braggart Trump

With massive mobilizations, the people of Cuba have responded forcefully to recent bravado and aggressions from the head of the U.S. regime, Donald Trump, demonstrating once again that the inhabitants of the Caribbean island do not fear, nor do they like, threats and intimidation.

Thousands of young people reenacted the renowned Anti-Imperialist Torch March on Tuesday in various cities, in homage to the 173rd anniversary of National Hero José Martí this January 28, and to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, on the occasion of the year of his centenary.

In the capital's demonstration, which began on the emblematic staircase of the University of Havana, the representatives of the new generations of Cubans reiterated their decision, fulfilling the legacies of Martí and Fidel, to continue defending the sovereignty and independence of their dignified country against the old and always failed aggressive policy of the brutal and turbulent northern empire.

The massive marches reaffirmed once again the unity of the people of the largest of the Antilles and their determination to safeguard the revolution of January 1, 1959, in the face of the perverse intentions of the U.S. to dethrone it.

Other resounding responses to Trump and his henchmen, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, were staged in the posthumous tributes to the 32 heroes of the dean Caribbean archipelago who fell in an uneven combat during Washington's military aggression against Venezuela this past January 3.

Millions of Cubans paid tribute to their compatriots throughout the length and breadth of the island, and before their martyrs, they ratified the promise to defend the homeland to the ultimate consequences if necessary.

Trump seems unaware that the peaceful Antillean nation is an impregnable bastion, and this has been demonstrated time and again with its resistance in the face of more than 65 years of intensified blockade, mercenary invasions, terrorist actions, attacks, and biological warfare.

He forgets that successive occupants of the White House have failed in their attempts to subdue Cuba by any means, and all ended up defeated and in the garbage dump of history.

There is no doubt whatsoever that the current occupant of the Oval Office is traveling down the same path.

Take note, Trump: Fidel affirmed that his compatriots do not fear, and they do not like to be threatened or intimidated, and before the monument to the National Hero in Havana's Revolution Square he swore: Homeland or Death José Martí, we will always be your faithful and invincible followers.
