Havana, Feb 26.- Cubans Anisley García and Frank Abel Rosales will be enrolled starting today in the 2026 Diving World Cup, whose first phase will run until next Sunday in Montreal, Canada.
Anisley, or La Tuti as she is known in the competitive sphere, will be in charge of starting the action with her program on the three-meter springboard.
Although that is not her main specialty, as she is more dedicated to the platform, for several seasons she has achieved good results and even in 2025 managed to sneak among the 12 best who disputed the medals of the Super Final in Beijing.
To be included in that definition, the results of the two previous stages of the Cup were added, something that will happen again this year. The Canadian stage will be followed by a moment in the Mexican city of Guadalajara, from March 5 to 8, and the 12 with the best results in each sex in the individual springboard and platform events will get tickets for the final test.
That closing moment was agreed from the 1st to the 3rd of May at the emblematic Water Cube in Beijing, built for the 2008 Olympic Games.
Now in Canada, Anisley will also compete from the platform, which is her main event, while Frank Abel will only be on the three-meter springboard, whose qualifying event will be this Friday.
Both Cubans have been training for several months in Canada, sponsored by a World Aquatics scholarship, and their preparation is focused on the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo. (ACN) (Photo: Taken from the Internet)
