Fincimex alerts about fake news on social media

Havana, March 3.- Financiera CIMEX S.A. (Fincimex) warned about the circulation of fake news on social media that uses its image and financial products to try to scam consumers by soliciting personal data.

The institution urged its clients on its official social media channels not to share sensitive information such as card numbers, sales receipts, or identity cards, and reiterated that it does not market goods or services other than financial ones.

Fincimex specified that the official communication channels are its Facebook and Instagram pages, and underscored that in all identified cases, legal action has been taken against those responsible.

The financial entity specializes in managing family remittances sent from abroad, export financing, financial leasing, and prepaid card administration, consolidating itself at the forefront of the sector in Cuba. (Text and photo: ACN)
