Havana, March 7 - Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Organization Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, highlighted on his social media profiles that "dignity never collapses," recalling critical moments in the nation's history.
The leader recalled that neither in the disaster at La Fernandina for National Hero José Martí, nor at Alegría de Pío for the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, nor during the October Crisis, was the option of surrender ever considered. "That the enemy dreams of seeing the white flag wave over the heart of the palm groves is their true unrealized desire," he expressed.
Morales Ojeda emphasized that this objective is not about isolated gestures from those who abandon collective resistance, but rather a greater surrender that would put an end to the history of struggles of the Cuban people.
He pointed out that the country is going through difficult times under the impact of the imposed blockade, while the enemy boasts of causing hardships and bets on the fall of the Revolution to gain political advantages. "However, no people have resisted the onslaught of the giant so much," he affirmed.
The Organization Secretary stressed that independence is at stake and that "Only the sense of Homeland and Unity have kept us safe"..."We will be here, without them ever seeing the white flag wave over our palm groves," he concluded. (Text and photo: ACN)
