Camagüey, March 10- The check of the construction actions that these days are intensifying in the pumping station, belonging to the Máximo reservoir, was part of the work visit carried out by Antonio Rodríguez Rodríguez, president of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INRH).
Accompanied by the member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and its first secretary in the province Federico Hernández Hernández, Rodríguez Rodríguez exchanged with directors of the sector and construction workers, at the time that he was interested in the availability of resources for the culmination of the civil part that is advancing rapidly, in addition to the equipment and technology that will promote the operation of the enclave at the end of March.
During the meeting, he insisted on the importance of expediting the work with the required quality, which will represent a guarantee for the distribution of water to the provincial capital, from that reservoir that today has liquid coverage and that will be key to the stability of the supply. to the city of Camagüey in future stages.
The province is going through an intense drought that affects the pumping systems of the population, for which reason the President of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources urged to review each aspect that allows the start-up of the work without setbacks.
Héctor Miguel Hernández Pérez, from the Hydraulic Engineering Services Company (ESIH), who works as supervisor of the construction actions at the Máximo pumping station, pointed out that the works in a first stage will make it possible to pump some 540 liters of water per second with the operation initially of three motors, of the seven that the enclave will have for its maximum exploitation.
