Camagüey, 7 Jun.- Camagüey will host the First Edition of the Literary Alliance Day, dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the creation of the Provincial System of Houses of Culture and to the more than 30 years of the work, as a literary advisor, of the natural from Florida, Camagüey Martha Melián Cosío.
Although the event is scheduled for the days from 10 to 17 June, activities will be held from the literary workshops of the different institutions of the territory to the communities.
According to Alexander de la Torre Gómez, provincial director of the System of Houses of Culture, this new proposal is born from the fusion of the Encounter-Literary Debate Infanto-Juvenile with the Encounter-Literary debate for adults to avoid coincidences due to the proximity of the dates in which these events were previously held.
Juan Miguel Castillo Toledo, provincial methodologist of Literature, explained at a press conference, that in the opening day will develop a literary club led by writers of the vanguard of the art of letters in the demarcation with the musical accompaniment of the troubadour Antonio Batista.
Subsequently, a jury composed of representative authors of the city, will be responsible for selecting the winning works, from the literary workshops of the province have been received in the categories infant-youth and adults, and who will represent the province at the national event.
Another peculiarity of this first installment is that, during those days will be developed in unison several literary cultural actions in all municipalities of Camagüey, predominating community work and attention to prioritized programs, from the maxim of taking art to every corner.
