Camagüey, July 24 – The opening of a permanent recycling center for the purchase of materials from the population in the Popular Council of Redención in the municipality of Minas is one of the projects inaugurated in honor of the Moncada feat.
Omar Morales Oliva, general director of the Provincial Raw Materials Recovery Company, emphasized that, under the premise of recovering the future and decontaminating the present, they are bringing services closer to the people while contributing to the country's economy and environmental sanitation.
This group will provide services every day. They will use an electric tricycle, which, through coordination with the entity, will support the transportation of materials, thus avoiding additional expenses for customers.
Cash and various electronic gateways will be used to pay for the service. In conjunction with the local government, the Recycle My Neighborhood program is planned to be implemented every Saturday, reaching different constituencies with the protagonism of political and mass organizations and schools with students.
Raudel Sanz Avilés, municipal director of the Raw Materials Recovery Company, noted that the residents of the Redención community, by having this store, have another way to contribute to the family economy, and it also contributes to the goal of having a cleaner community.
He emphasized that work is underway to expand these fixed collection points to other popular councils, such as Lugareño, in addition to improving the working conditions of the community.
