Cuban President to visit Serbia

Havana, June 19.- The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, will arrive in Serbia this Tuesday, according to his counterpart in that European country, Aleksandar Vucic.

Vucic's statements were published on Facebook by the ambassador of the Caribbean nation in Belgrade, Leyde Ernesto Rodríguez.

Earlier this year, Vucic highlighted the good state of bilateral political relations between the two nations and thanked Cuba for its principled position in clear support for Serbian sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In the last period, high-level visits were made, especially by Foreign Ministers Bruno Rodríguez to Belgrade, and by his counterpart Nikola Selakovic to Havana in 2022.

Both nations have more than 120 years of bilateral relations.

Cuba intends to register in Serbia a wide range of products and medicines, such as nutritional supplements, cosmetics and therapeutic medicines against cancer and other diseases. (Text and photo: PL)
