Camagüey, Aug 3.- With a call to strengthen the socialist state company, the member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and general secretary of the Cuban Workers Central (CTC) Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, exchanged this Thursday with the staff of several strategic labor groups for the national economy.
During the tour, he was interested in compliance with the measures to provide greater autonomy to the business system as a leading actor in local development and with a direct impact on the population, hence he expressed the need to generalize the positive experiences and respond to the existing problems in the province.
The tour included two entities of the Ministry of the Food Industry where he appreciated the result of policies designed by the highest political and governmental authorities and organized by the labor movement, which allow the diversification of assortments, humanize work, and raise the level of offers.
This was verified in the exchange that he had with colleagues from the EsAzúcar Base Business Unit (UEB) who this Thursday bought products derived from milk in the El Almendro Lácteo unit, in the capital city, one of the nine establishments authorized by the Company Láctea in the province to market its assortments and organized by the Cuban Workers Central with the goal of reaching around 900 families daily.
Guilarte de Nacimiento learned, in addition, of the million-dollar investment that is being undertaken in the Cesar Escalante UEB in the capital of Camagüey, where, along with these actions, production does not stop even when it does not satisfy the demand of the population and there are dissatisfactions associated with the deficient level of hiring in an eminently livestock province like this one.
"Under current conditions we slaughter around 130 cattle a day and with the assembly of the new slaughterhouse it is estimated to double that figure, so we plan to increase other processes such as the packing house to take advantage of all the by-products, with lines of meatballs, hamburgers and croquettes.”, explained Raúl Ramírez Rodríguez, director of the Meat Company in Camagüey.
The union leader was interested in the work of the innovators, who under the advice of Gustavo Trujillo Morel -a worker from Ciego de Ávila reinstated after his retirement-, carry out actions to restore the old hamburger forming machine, with the aspiration that it will produce 9 thousand units daily.
He also appreciated the potential of the Flexible Packaging Factory, belonging to the Geocuba Business Group, the only one of its kind in Cuba and with a technological modernization that allows the substitution of imports and linkages with other industrial sectors of the country.
During the visit in the early hours of the morning, Mairelis Leyva Rodríguez, secretary of the union bureau of the Military-Industrial Company, Major General Ignacio Agramonte y Loynaz, shared the commitment of the 1,613 workers, more than half of them direct to production in that industry inaugurated by the Commander in Chief.

He recognized the Composite Materials Unit, deserving of the Labor Prowess Flag for the productive results of the first half of the year with around 10 units per month, as well as the overcompliance of the mattress manufacturing, with extended hours, to respond to the victims on last year due to Hurricane Ian in the west of the country and more recently, in the east after the intense rains of last June.
In the debates, the common idea of ??finding other reserves in the productive order and achieving effective linkages with the new economic actors based on the compliance of the physical units and increasing efficiency to meet the needs of the people prevailed.
During the tour, Guilarte de Nacimiento exchanged with workers, especially with young people as part of the systematic follow-up from the CTC to the protagonists of the national economy, such as payment systems, the distribution of profits and a work environment that allows compliance of production goals.
