Camagüey, July 15.—In compliance with Resolution No. 148 of 2024 of the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the municipality has made progress in the creation of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
Nuria Junco Barzaga, Director of Local Development in Camagüey, stated that 175 such entities currently operate in different forms of management.
Of this number, the majority are concentrated in food services and restaurants (39), construction (29), food production and marketing (24), IT (17), and an equal number of other services.
To ensure these actors improve their work, actions are being undertaken to eradicate distortions such as the rejection of the use of remote banking, QR codes, EnZona, and Transfermóvil; and the domiciliation of payrolls, among others.
Camagüey is also working on the creation of state-owned MSMEs, of which there are already eight, which will undoubtedly have a significant impact. (Rodolfo Medina Hechavarría/Radio Camagüey) (Photo: Adelante Digital)
